Also known as a ‘bow’, a pocket watch bail is a small metal loop by which a pocket watch is fastened to its chain. It allows a watch to turn, allowing the wearer to easily read the time. In Lucy’s designs, the bail at the top of a pendant is designed to evoke this lineage, paying homage to the style of the Victorian gentlemen who once wore them..
