Modern Finish
Rhodium is a very rare, durable and reflective precious metal, with a silvery white tone and an appealing high shine.
To apply the Modern Finish to a Lucy Delius piece, rhodium is electroplated to the surface of solid gold in the workshop, creating a pale, radiant colouring that amplifies the brilliance of diamonds.
This effect pays tribute to the legacy of Victorian techniques, in which metals were commonly used side-by-side on different surfaces to enhance a piece’s longevity, but with a fresh and contemporary quality. An alternative to the Antique Finish.
