Bombe Ring
A bombe ring is defined by its rounded, curved form, which provides plenty of surface area for designs in precious metals, gemstones, or with other decorative effects. A bold and opulent statement, it was first created during the Edwardian era, and is often worn either as an engagement or a statement ring.
The word ‘bombé’ translates to ‘bomb-shaped’ in its native French; this piece is believed to take its name from the French dessert, bombe glacée.
