About the jewellery
Items are crafted in Thailand, India and the UK from 14kt recycled gold, we work with workshops that have been certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Rhodium is a metal alloy that comes in a range of colours. Iit is electroplated to the 14kt solid gold and provides depth and contrast to the jewellery. Over time the black wears down, becoming a more subtle grey - like the oxidised Victorian silver jewellery we see so often today. How long it will last depends on how often the piece is worn and what other substances it comes into contact with.
We offer a replating service - please email studio@lucydelius.co for more information.
All items are certified in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973
How to care for your jewellery
We get it, these are pieces you want to put on and never take off. You're buying solid gold jewellery - these are pieces that if looked after will outlast us all!
With that in mind, it pays to be mindful! If you swim, shower, gym in your black rhodium pieces then the black with fade over time (we offer a replating service, fear not).
If you are taking your jewellery off store them in the pouches they came in - separate earrings so they don't scratch, lay out your necklaces flat.
When it comes to cleaning your jewels, take a soft tooth brush (a children's one works best) and a squirt of fairy liquid. Dry with a soft lint cloth.
