Albert Clip
An Albert clip is a small swivel hook or bolt ring traditionally used to affix a pocket watch to a watch chain. It was often featured next to a small drop with an adornment, called a fob.
Functional and fashionable, Albert chains and their requisite Albert clips were sought after by gentlemen during the Victorian era, who used their intricate and elaborate designs for their own self-expression. It was named after Prince Albert, who popularised the style, but has since been adapted for jewellery more broadly.
