Watch Chain
Traditionally, a watch chain secured a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat, attaching at one end with a T-bar, and at the other with a small decorative clip. Prince Albert often wore one during the Victorian era, leading to its popularity – it is also commonly known as an Albert chain.
Antique Victorian watch chains, designed in all forms and finished, are highly coveted by collectors for their intricate detail and elaborate workmanship. As well as pocket watches, they could be used to secure keys, cigar cutters or other small tools.
