Carré Cut
A carré-cut diamond is a square-shaped diamond with step facets that lend it a pyramid-like appearance. Carré cuts are characteristic of the Art Deco era, which prized symmetrical geometric shapes cut and set with precision. It exhibits less ‘brilliance’, or sparkle, and more ‘fire’, or colourful flashes of light, than other cuts, lending it a sophistication and drama.
